Meet Mahali
At the Elephant Transit Home in Udawalawe, young elephants are given the care and protection they need as they grow, with the hope of eventually returning to the wild.
And among them is Mahali, the little elephant who inspired our collection.
Mahali's story is one of care, resilience and new beginnings. Like other young elephants at the Transit Home, her journey is about growing stronger, developing independence and preparing for life beyond its care.
We like to imagine her days filled with the little things that come naturally to young elephants — exploring her surroundings, enjoying a good splash of water and discovering the world around her. Mahali_Blog_Update
A Little Update on Mahali
As Mahali continues to grow, every stage of her development is an important part of her journey.
From gaining strength and confidence to learning the behaviours that will help her thrive in the wild, her time at the Elephant Transit Home is about giving her the best possible start.
Her progress is a reminder that conservation is often a long-term commitment, built on patience, care and the work of those dedicated to protecting Sri Lanka's wildlife.
